Journey Overview

Our nine-day journey explores the artistic, architectural, and culinary legacy of the Veneto, moving from Verona's Roman and medieval foundations to the villas, waterways, and hill towns that define the region.

Five nights in Verona provide time to experience one of Italy's most historically layered cities. Roman, medieval, and Renaissance influences remain visible throughout the center, from the Roman Arena and Castelvecchio to the churches, bridges, and piazzas that continue to shape daily life. Beyond the city, the surrounding countryside introduces another side of the Veneto through the vineyards of Valpolicella and the shores of Lake Garda, where elegant villas, historic towns, and dramatic scenery have drawn visitors for centuries.

The journey then turns east toward Padua, home to one of Europe's oldest universities and centuries of artistic and scientific achievement. From there, a private cruise along the Brenta Canal reveals the villas and estates built by Venetian nobles as summer retreats along one of northern Italy's most important waterways.

The final three nights are spent in Asolo, a hill town surrounded by vineyards, rolling countryside, and the foothills of the Alps. From this base, the journey explores the landscapes and traditions that continue to define the region, including Bassano del Grappa and its iconic wooden bridge spanning the Brenta River. Throughout, the focus remains on the art, architecture, food, wine, and sense of place that have made the Veneto one of Italy's most enduring cultural regions.
