Bali & Beyond
Introduction
All of our journeys can be completely personalized and curated with our commitment to sustainable tourism.
Journey Overview
The Indonesian adventure kicks off in Yogyakarta, located on the island of Java. Despite its modest size, this city is a gateway to some of Indonesia's most significant historical sites. It boasts a rich tapestry of historical monuments, colonial structures, beaches, markets, and cultural activities, offering ample opportunities for interactions with the locals.
A stone's throw from Yogyakarta lies Borobudur, one of Asia's grand archaeological marvels. This 8th-century Buddhist monument, comparable to Myanmar's Bagan and Cambodia's Angkor Wat, stands as a testament to ancient architectural prowess. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Borobudur offers ethereal views, especially during sunrise and sunset. Nearby, is Prambanan, another UNESCO site, housing a sprawling temple complex with 224 individual Hindu temples.
Then, a short flight to Bali, an island that has long captivated the world's imagination. Beyond its global fame, Bali retains its exotic charm, boasting a blend of pristine beaches, towering volcanoes, lush rice terraces, and age-old temples. Often referred to as the "Island of the Gods," Bali's allure is further amplified by the warmth and hospitality of the Balinese people.
