Justin Smith of The Evolved Traveler has arranged three recent vacation trips for me, and I wanted to comment about the quality of his work, as well as about his fine qualities as a human being.
My sister and my partner asked The Evolved Traveler to arrange an eight-day excursion for us to Peru, with two overnights in Lima, three in Cusco, and four in Machu Picchu, and its Aguas Calientes town. All aspects of the trip were handled for us: air travel, greeters, transfers, hotels, guides, and all local transportation. Nothing was left to chance. Everything was done in advance, which made this the “trip of a lifetime.” Of course, Machu Picchu is one of the world’s most fascinating destinations, yet we felt that Justin created a unique way for us to experience it the first time.
A few months later Justin arranged a 4-week trip to Europe for my partner and me. We had detailed itineraries for our three-week drive through Umbria and Tuscany, with 3- or 4-night stays in six hotels along the way, guides for the major highlights, private tours, cooking demonstrations and lessons, personally-conducted visits to museums, and even some special escorts in and out of the more remote or “challenging” walled cities. The trip ended with a week in Paris; again, it was all handled expertly by Justin and The Evolved Traveler.
It is without reservation that I recommend Justin and The Evolved Traveler to my friends and family for their travel needs, knowing that when I do, they will not only get the best of all possible vacations, but each of the places where he sends clients will also benefit by his dedication to helping them grow as a culture and a community, and more readily embrace kind, experienced, and knowledgeable visitors, ideally those who have been versed in the tenets of Sustainable Tourism.
