Rajasthan, India’s imperial epicenter, literally translates as “Land of the Kings.” Immerse yourself in majestic, yet complex, history and colorful culture on The Evolved Traveler’s 15-day, “India: A Royal Indulgence,” a once-in-a-lifetime journey that lets you truly experience feeling like a maharaja in this incredible region!

Destination Overview

Your journey begins in New Delhi with a unique and moving Evolved Experience. The Salaam Baalak Trust Walk is an organization that rescues young adults from the streets. Your guide on this special first-day tour will be one of the young people rescued who now has a better life and knows the area intimately, providing you with genuinely thoughtful and engaging insights. Continue through Delhi taking in local markets, the sights, sounds, and scents of daily life. The Red Fort will be your final visit before heading to Jodhpur, where your local, personal historian guide offers a truly exceptional perspective.

Join the Mehrangarh Museum curator as he takes you on a tour of the wondrous collection, sharing his expertise and insights. Listen to tales of sacrifice, extraordinary events, and adventure while discussing a painting or the fort’s architecture. En route to Udaipur, visit Ranakpur, a stirring setting of pilgrimage and living temples, the most exquisite of which is the Jain Temple from the 15th-century. Udaipur, a splash of color in Rajasthan, is even brighter when tinged with the tones of local lore and legends, and certainly the sparkle of the Crystal Gallery. Completing this sensory fusion will be the flavors of a private cooking lesson with the royals’ personal family of chefs, the Bedla family.

Jaipur beckons with the sparkle of the Amber Palace, a classic, romantic Rajasthani fort and palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the fort may not look beautiful from the outside, but the interior is a virtual paradise. Your royal experience reaches one of its pinnacles when you are taken by a vintage car to the main residential palace of the Maharaja, where the members of the Royal family will receive you. Now, travel from royalty to the roars of wild tigers at Rajasthan’s Ranthambore National Park for a three-night stay and safari.

Lastly, journey from Ranthambore to India’s most renowned and beloved royal jewel of them all, the Taj Mahal. A two-night stay in Agra will let you enjoy this magnificent site in every way before heading back to Delhi for your return home.

Carbon Offset

The Evolved Traveler is allocating $95 per person* in conjunction with our partners, Offset Alliance,  to help offset this journey through verified carbon removal and reversals projects.

The amount is determined by calculating the carbon footprint for this journey considering flights to the destination, intra-tour flights if applicable, hotel stays, and ground transportation. An additional 25% is added to the static factors to offset components we cannot immediately account for, such as food.

The carbon emissions accounted for are calculated by using measurement benchmarks determined by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. The projects our carbon-offset donations are distributed to can be seen at www.offsetalliance.co/projects.

*The amount shown is an estimation for this journey. The exact will be calculated at the time of booking based on the city of origin for flights to the destination, and the specifications of the itinerary.
