This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime journey that is sure to remind you why travel transforms us.

Destination Overview

The Evolved Traveler’s 13-day journey will have you exploring wondrous Chile with its vibrant colors and stark contrasts – from the natural marvels and beauty of the Atacama Desert to energetic Santiago and the blue-hued glaciers of the Chilean fjords.

Settle into cosmopolitan Santiago, where colonial architecture blends with modern skyscrapers, for a five-day immersive visit. Tap the city’s rich culinary pulse, mingle with the locals at lively markets, sip coffee in an underground downtown cafe, or try a classic Chilean cocktail in a kitschy bar. Visit the colorful port city of Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and an artsy Bohemian town renowned for its brightly colored buildings and street art. One of the Evolved Experiences on your journey will be a private visit to the Condor Conservation and Rehabilitation Center with a biologist.

The Atacama Desert, in the north of Chile, is the world’s driest landscape. Considered today to be the archaeological capital of Chile, it continues to be a silent witness to the passage of time. A three-night stay will provide ample time exploring and the activities of your choice, including 4×4 Jeep tours, visits to local towns – some of them deserted (!), the Tatio Geyser, swimming in thermal pools, hiking, sandboarding, and much more! And, of course, an evening of gazing at a starfield that is nothing short of soul-stirring.

Finally, your journey transitions from sand dunes to ice fields as you travel south to Patagonia. A declared UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and anointed the eighth wonder of the world in 2013, Torres del Paine National Park and Mountains are the main attractions and icons of the Chilean Patagonia. Spend three days experiencing this great symphony of nature, including a full day in Torres del Paine National Park.

Carbon Offset

The Evolved Traveler is allocating $95 per person* in conjunction with our partners, Offset Alliance,  to help offset this journey through verified carbon removal and reversals projects.

The amount is determined by calculating the carbon footprint for this journey considering flights to the destination, intra-tour flights if applicable, hotel stays, and ground transportation. An additional 25% is added to the static factors to offset components we cannot immediately account for, such as food.

The carbon emissions accounted for are calculated by using measurement benchmarks determined by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. The projects our carbon-offset donations are distributed to can be seen at www.offsetalliance.co/projects.

*The amount shown is an estimation for this journey. The exact will be calculated at the time of booking based on the city of origin for flights to the destination, and the specifications of the itinerary.
